We really loved Seward, but after spending four nights there, we were ready to start heading north to see what other areas of Alaska had to offer.
After months of researching and planning our trip to Alaska, the day had finally come! We spent a hot 24 hours in Portland and boarded our plane to Anchorage. Like two kids on Christmas Day, we were anxious to see what surprises awaited.
When we started packing for Alaska, my biggest concern was whether or not I'd be warm, dry, wind proof, you name it.
Neither of us had ever been to Portland, or Oregon for that matter. We had a 24 hour layover there and were determined to make it count.
Aloha! This the third and final post in my Oahu series. Parts I and II were focused around how you can spend two days of your Hawaiian adventure exploring Waikiki and other smaller towns in Oahu.
For Part II of this Oahu series, we are going to get out of Waikiki, drive east and spend the day driving along the coast all the way up to Bonzai Pipeline - while stopping occasionally for snacks and a swim or two. Make sure you bring your snorkel gear!
So what do Florida, San Diego and LA all have in common? ...Warm summers and beaches and all are places I used to live. When I moved to SF, I knew it would be cooler in general, but 63 degrees in the July, seriously, what was I thinking?
Hi, welcome to This Wayfarer! My name is Heather and one of my favorite things to do is explore new destinations and go on new adventures. For awhile, I thought I just had an extreme case of wanderlust, then it hit me mid-bite during breakfast while visiting my family. I must get it from my mom.
